Herb Nerds
I keep a rather overgrown tea cabinet inspired by tea traditions from around the world, alongside a small home apothecary of herbs, salves, tinctures, and comforting little remedies for everyday life. I value science deeply and believe modern medicine matters. But modern medicine is largely inspired by nature. There is a lot to learn in the quieter rituals that persist through generations like a steaming cup for a rough day, honey for a sore throat, lavender for sleep, peppermint for an unsettled stomach, or the simple comfort of someone taking the time to care. Much of the the joy is also...that feels like making potions! I love learning about plants, traditional tea practices, herbal folklore, and the ways different cultures have turned leaves, roots, flowers, and spices into comfort and healing for centuries. I’d love to share that space with others whether that means blending teas, teaching what herbs can help support your body through stressors, helping someone build a cozy tea ritual, or simply offering a calm place to slow down for an hour after the world has been loud. If any of that sounds like your kind of whimsy, we’ll probably get along wonderfully.
