Deletion scope
What deletion covers
When deletion is completed, Barterloo closes the account and deletes or de-identifies personal information and user content associated with it. This includes:
- Your Barterloo account, sign-in access, profile, and personal profile details.
- Active Offers, Wants, posts, photos, and business profile content associated with the account.
- Comments, messages, reviews, and other user-generated content, which are removed or de-identified so they are no longer associated with you.
- Plan entitlements, device tokens, and active service access linked to the account.
- Personal data held by service providers where deletion is required and supported, including the Barterloo authentication identity.
Limited exceptions
What may be retained
Deletion does not require us to erase information that we must keep or that remains reasonably necessary for a narrow lawful purpose. Access is limited, and retained information is not used to keep your profile or account active.
- Transaction, billing, tax, and accounting records that must be kept to meet legal obligations.
- Limited security, fraud-prevention, moderation, audit, dispute, and legal-claim records where continued retention is necessary.
- A minimal deletion or suppression record used to honor the deletion, prevent accidental account restoration, and protect the service.
- Protected backups until they expire through the normal backup lifecycle; backup data is isolated from ordinary product use.
- Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify you.
Timing and subscriptions
Delete account now: Barterloo begins the permanent closure immediately after confirmation. If an external billing provider must first confirm cancellation or another required closure step, the request remains pending until that step is safely completed.
Delete after paid period: when this option is available, Account Center shows the paid-through date before confirmation and schedules deletion for that date. You can review an active request in Account Center and cancel it while the option remains available.
Deleting your Barterloo account does not itself guarantee a refund. If Apple or Google bills your subscription, also cancel it in your Apple or Google subscription settings. Those stores control store-billed renewals and refunds. For a web-billed plan, Account Center checks the billing state and explains the consequence before you confirm.
Account access
If you cannot sign in
Contact [email protected] or use the support form. Use the email address associated with the account and state that you want to delete your Barterloo account. Do not send a password, payment-card number, government ID, or other sensitive document by email. We will verify account ownership before acting on a request.
