Who we are and what this policy covers
Barterloo is operated by KELLY FROM THE DELI LLC, a Florida limited liability company (Florida document number L22000341924). In this policy, “Barterloo,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that company.
This policy applies to the Barterloo mobile application, barterloo.com, our public profiles and marketplace pages, Account Center, support services, and related features that link to this policy. It explains our handling of personal information when you browse, create an account, publish or exchange content, communicate with another Trader, purchase or manage a plan, verify your identity, request support, or ask us to delete your account.

Information we collect
Depending on how you use Barterloo, we collect the following categories:
- Account and contact information: name, preferred name, username, email address, authentication identifiers, account status, and security or sign-in records.
- Profile and business information: profile image, biography, skills, interests, business name, logo, description, website or social links, and other details you choose to publish.
- Content and communications: Offers, Wants, posts, photographs, comments, messages, trade-related communications, ratings or reviews, reports, blocks, and moderation records.
- Location information: city, state or region, postal information, and approximate location or coordinates used for local discovery and privacy-safe community maps. Public community maps use aggregated location data and do not publish a person’s exact coordinates.
- Plans, transactions, and entitlements: plan, subscription state, paid-through dates, coupons, provider and transaction references, cancellation state, and records needed to provide paid features. Payment providers, rather than Barterloo, process full card or financial-account details.
- Identity-verification information: verification session and outcome, and information required to prevent fraud or confirm eligibility. When Stripe Identity is used, Stripe processes identity documents, images, and verification data under its own privacy terms.
- Device, usage, and diagnostic information: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, app version, page or feature interactions, referral information, timestamps, error and request logs, performance information, and security signals.
- Support information: the email address, description, screenshots or files, and correspondence you send when requesting help.
- Notification information: if notifications are offered in your app release and you enable them, a device push token and notification preferences. Barterloo does not collect a push token when that feature is unavailable or you have not enabled it.

Where information comes from
We receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from other Traders when they interact with or report content, and from service providers that help us authenticate users, process payments, verify identity, provide infrastructure, measure service performance, and prevent abuse.
If you sign in through an authentication provider, purchase through a payment provider, or install Barterloo through an app store, that provider gives us only the account, transaction, entitlement, or installation information needed to deliver the service and reconcile its records.
04
How and why we use information
We use personal information to:
- create, secure, and administer accounts;
- publish the profile or marketplace information you choose to make public and enable Offers, Wants, discovery, messaging, and trades;
- provide, reconcile, and support plans, subscriptions, entitlements, identity verification, cancellations, and deletion requests;
- personalize local discovery and produce aggregated community insights;
- respond to support requests and send service, security, billing, or account communications;
- detect spam, fraud, security incidents, policy violations, and harmful conduct; investigate reports; enforce blocks and our rules;
- understand feature use, diagnose faults, improve reliability, and develop the service; and
- comply with law, tax, accounting, and valid legal requests.
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to perform our agreement with you, with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as securing, operating, improving, and protecting Barterloo and its community. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on it, without affecting prior lawful processing.
06
Storage, international transfers, and security
Barterloo and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use contractual and other safeguards for international transfers.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, including access controls, authenticated account actions, encrypted network transport, service-provider controls, logging, and safeguards around account and billing changes. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
07
How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account is active and retain other information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The period depends on the type of information, the sensitivity and risk, whether it remains necessary to provide the service, and legal, tax, accounting, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, and enforcement requirements.
When an account is deleted, Barterloo removes or de-identifies personal account data and associated user content as described on our Account Deletion page. Limited transaction, tax, legal-claim, security, audit, and deletion-suppression records may remain for the period required by law or reasonably necessary for those purposes. Data in protected backups is isolated from ordinary use and expires through the backup lifecycle. Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify you may be retained.
08
Your choices and privacy rights
You can review or update many profile and account details in Barterloo, manage browser and device permissions in your settings, unsubscribe from optional marketing where offered, and block or report another user.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; receive a portable copy; or appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy regulator. We will verify requests as needed to protect the account and will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
To delete your account, use our public deletion instructions. For another privacy request, email [email protected]. Authorized agents may submit a request where permitted by law; we may require proof of authorization and direct identity confirmation.
09
Third-party services and links
Barterloo may link to websites, profiles, payment pages, app stores, or services operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Review those notices before providing information. Barterloo is not responsible for a third party’s independent service or content.
10
Age requirement
Barterloo is for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to Barterloo, contact [email protected]. We will investigate and delete the information where appropriate.
11
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date and, when required, provide additional notice in the app, by email, or through another appropriate channel. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.
